Privacy Policy

TinyFeelings is a social-emotional development app for young children, built on the same 5-skill framework (CASEL) most school SEL programs use. Milestone tracking, recommendations, and feedback are all based on judgments you make yourself — there's no passive tracking or behavioral logging of your child.

What we collect — and where it lives

All family data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to TinyFeelings or any third party.

• Child profile — name and birthday, used to determine your child's developmental stage.
• Milestone progress — the Not yet / Working on it / Got it status you set for each developmental milestone, always set by you, never auto-detected.
• Saved items — activities, toys, and books you've marked as a fit for your child, used to personalize future picks.
• Parent name — shown in your profile, never shared.

We do not collect email addresses, precise location, or any other personally identifying information, beyond the anonymous usage analytics described below.

App content

The library of activities, toys, and books shown in the app (titles, images, descriptions, and milestone tags) is fetched from our server and cached on your device, refreshing at most about once a day so picks stay current. This catalog is the same for every family and contains no information about you or your child.

Cross-app convenience

If you also use TinyMinds or TinyTales on the same device, your child's name and birthday can be shared between the apps via the device's secure Keychain, so you don't have to re-enter them. This stays entirely on your device — it is not a server or cloud sync, and no other data (milestones, saved items, feedback) is ever shared this way.

Third-party services we contact

• Amazon Associates program — TinyFeelings participates in the Amazon Associates program. Toy links include our affiliate tag (essentialx-20); when you tap a "Buy" link and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon's privacy policy applies: amazon.com privacy notice.
• Amazon CDN & Wikimedia Commons — product and activity photos are loaded directly from Amazon's and Wikimedia's content delivery networks using URLs stored in our catalog. No personal data is sent with these requests.
• Google Analytics for Firebase — anonymous usage analytics (see the Analytics section below). Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.

Children's privacy

TinyFeelings is designed for use by parents and caregivers on behalf of young children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children directly. All information entered in the app remains under the parent's control and is never transmitted to us.

Data retention and deletion

Because all family data lives on your device, you control it entirely. You can reset a single child's progress or delete a profile at any time from Profile. To remove everything, delete the app from your device.

Analytics

TinyFeelings uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous usage data — screen views, milestone status changes, and item saves/taps — so we can understand how the app is used and improve it. This is never tied to your child's name, birthday, or your identity, since there's no account for it to attach to. TinyFeelings does not serve ads.
